We have decided to create a skin for guests and therefore robots. The Main reason for this was to remove member profile information from posts, which is repeated over and over again with each post that member makes and dilutes the content that you really want the robots to see.

Removing this profile information is very simple. Go to your ACP, navigate to Look and Feel -> Edit Template HTML -> Topic View -> Render Row...

Find the following...

        		{$author['title']}
        		{$author['member_rank_img']}
        		{$author['member_group']}
        		{$author['member_posts']}
        		{$author['member_joined']}
        		{$author['member_location']}
        		{$author['member_number']}

... and simply remove them. After a few weeks, depending on how often your website is crawled, all the repeated profile information will be removed from posts cached in the search engines. If you want, you can allow your members to select a 'Members' skin that still shows the profile information in posts.
